About Dennis Black
& Associates
Our company is a training
organization devoted exclusively to the development of sales
and management professionals within the mortgage lending industry.
It was established in 1988 by Dennis M. Black after an extensive professional sales career. His
seven years at Xerox Corporation encompassed sales, sales management,
and sales training.
|
 |
| After leaving
Xerox and during several successful years as both a mortgage
Loan Originator and Vice President of Loan Production with a
California-based mortgage broker, Dennis saw the need for, and
the value of, a professionally developed sales approach designed
exclusively for the lending industry. Since our inception, we
have trained over 35,000 mortgage professionals in more than
40 states throughout the country. Annually, Dennis speaks at
the MBA Loan Production Conferences about selling strategies
and is a frequent speaker for the MBA's School of Mortgage Banking
Course II. |

Meet
Ms. Lynne Lovern
Lynne is a dynamic individual
with over 20 years of production management, origination and
operations experience in mortgage lending.
Most of her tenure was with Gulf States Mortgage Corporation
and Sears Mortgage Corporation. Lynne joined Gulf States as a
VP and producing Branch Manager in Charleston, SC and within
two years was promoted and transferred to Atlanta, GA to manage
the largest branch for Georgia's then #1 mortgage banker.
There she was responsible for developing and growing two facets
of retail origination: an outside sales force to generate business
through Realtor and other third party referral relationships,
and a separate Builder department specializing in quality origination
and processing of permanent loans for customers referred by Builders.
Subsequently, Lynne was successfully recruited by Sears Mortgage
Corporation to head their Atlanta retail lending effort. Accountable
both for sales and operations, Lynne literally built that operation
from the ground up. While under her direction, the Atlanta office
grew to become one of the most productive and profitable nationwide.
It ultimately ranked in the top 10 out of over 100 branches and
40% of her sales staff ranked in the top 5% of the company.
Coupled with her sales and management expertise, Lynne brings
significant technical experience to the table. She has been an
approved FHA Direct Endorsement, VA Automatic, FNMA and FHLMA
underwriter during her career.
The sales success Lynne has enjoyed in her career brings real
depth to the training she provides through Dennis Black & Associates. The active roles she played in developing
successful Loan Originators, support staff members and retail
production centers makes her especially effective in working
with today's mortgage professionals.
It is more important than ever to be certain your training investment
brings your production staff field relevance in today's market
conditions from an instructor who has "walked in their shoes."
Lynne's rich and extensive background in mortgage lending enables
her to consistently deliver the highest level of professional
sales, operations and management training available today.

Meet
Mr. Brian Lokar
Brian comes to Dennis Black & Associates with over 17 years in the financial industry. He
has an extensive background in both retail and wholesale mortgage
lending. As a production VP of a large Mid-western mortgage bank
Brian was not only a top Loan Originator but also a lead field
Sales Manager.
With advanced degrees in both economics and finance, he came
into mortgage banking from Wall Street where he worked as an
institutional investment manager with Merrill, Lynch, Pierce,
Fenner and Smith, Inc. It was there that Brian began to hone
his expertise in phone sales, a powerful program that he has
developed for Dennis
Black & Associates. Brian
also draws upon his military experience as a team operative with
the Army's 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne).
Brian brings a unique perspective to Dennis Black & Associates in that he both successfully utilized the Dennis
Black formula in the field as an Originator and managed its implementation
with his Loan Officers before coming on board as one of our consultants.
Brian's financial strengths and keen understanding of the keys
to successful phone sales give him unique insight into solving
many of the problems that lenders face in an increasingly diverse
and competitive marketplace.
